Celus-Bi® Feel is a texturizing powder made in Italy, designed as a forward-looking solution for sustainable cosmetic formulations. It matches or enhances the performance of traditional synthetic ingredients while offering a responsible alternative to conventional microplastic powders such as Nylon, PMMA, Polyurethane, and Polyethylene.
What is it?
Celus Bi® Feel is a high-performance texturizing powder with proven efficacy compared to standard plasticizing powders, while offering a more environmentally responsible profile. It is readily biodegradable in accordance with the OECD 301 method.
Celus Bi® Feel is a composed by Zea mays (corn) starch, Polyvinyl alcohol, and glycerin. It has a Natural Origin Index Value ≥ 0.5 following ISO16128 standard.
Celus Bi® Feel is available in a range of particle sizes:
- Celus Bi® Feel 5: 3 - 7 μm
- Celus Bi® Feel 10: 5 - 15 μm
- Celus Bi® Feel 20: 15 - 25 μm
What does it do?
Its balanced hydrophilic–lipophilic properties make Celus Bi® an ideal ingredient for both oil and water phases. Suitable for a wide range of applications, it enhances final formulations with refined sensory and optical benefits—such as a soft-focus effect—while improving performance through better powder compaction, binding, and oil control.
