MECHANISM OF ACTION
SelectSIEVE® HopE bitter acids stimulate TAS2R bitter taste receptors in the intestinal epithelium. This triggers the release of GLP-1 and other enterohormones, such as CCK and PYY. These effects support weight management, increase satiety and reduce appetite.
In the liver, its iso-α-acids activate PPAR α and γ receptors. This improves insulin sensitivity, lowering blood sugar levels. It also supports a healthier blood lipid profile reducing LDL cholesterol and tryglicerides, while increasing HDL cholesterol.
