This method enables the deactivation of bacteria while preserving the integrity of the bacterial wall responsible for co-aggregation. Furthermore, this process facilitates the retention of specific bacterial structures essential for the formation of intact biofilms. These intact biofilms play a key role in restricting the proliferation and mobility of pathogens.
